Advanced’s Air Jordan store and Barrick Gold meeting room projects receive nominations in the “Retail” and “Corporate” categories.
This year, Advanced has been recognized for achieving two of the most innovative technology designs and effective uses of AV standards, having been named finalists in both the 2018 InAVation Awards for the Air Jordan store project (retail category) and Barrick Gold meeting room project (corporate category), and in the 2018 Digital Signage Awards for outstanding campaign, screen placement and technical innovation in the Air Jordan store project (retail category).

Within Air Jordan’s Toronto location, Advanced created a dynamic and engaging experience for customers with a range of AV and digital signage solutions. Equipped with unique to this store ‘Jordan Standard’ games, a sophisticated multi-zone audio system that creates separate audio and visual experiences throughout the store, and a dazzling showcase of digital canvases installed in the windows on the store’s main level, this Air Jordan store goes above and beyond what’s expected of a typical brick-and-mortar retailer.
Barrick Gold, a leading global mining company, was looking to utilize top-of-the-line collaboration technology to increase productivity during their weekly meetings with remote mining sites. With the help of Advanced, a custom Prysm Visual Workplace display was installed to enable collaboration and sharing in real time. A new interactive video and innovative microphone system, complete with dual cameras and speaker tracking functionality, were also installed to create a complete meeting experience unique to their space. Now, the Barrick Gold team is able to enjoy quick, easy and painless video conferencing and data collaboration for each of their weekly meetings.
