FROM CORPORATE BOARDROOMS TO ONSITE CONSTRUCTION TRAILERS, ADVANCED HELPS TO CONNECT WORLEY PARSONS STAFF GLOBALLY WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART AV ENVIRONMENTS
ABOUT WORLEY PARSONS
WorleyParsons is a global provider of technical, project and operational support services to the energy, resource and complex process industries. Founded in 1971 in North Sydney, Australia, the Company’s extensive experience ensures they provide project solutions with the lowest total lifecycle cost, while still meeting individual customer requirements. As resource projects continue to escalate in size and complexity, WorleyParsons is one of the few global companies with the resources, technical capabilities and systems to meet these growing demands.
As a leader in the operation of large-scale construction projects, WorleyParsons required a unique and complex AV solution to help connect corporate staff to an often remote employee base. This audiovisual solution needed to function easily and seamlessly to effectively connect teams and promote collaborative interaction.
THE ADVANCED SOLUTION
Advanced designed and installed an innovative, collaborative technology solution for WorleyParsons, installing a sophisticated videoconferencing system that allowed remote users to connect to other members of their team easily and reliably. The large boardroom was outfitted with the latest in collaborative products, including SMART Board interactive whiteboards and a videoconference solution with room automation control system. To ensure excellent sound quality, the boardroom was also equipped with an audio reinforcement system, including wireless microphones.
In addition to the installation of audiovisual solutions in the Company’s large boardroom and presentation rooms, Advanced provided a unique solution for the WorleyParson’s insight trailers across Ontario. The trailers, placed on construction sites and used by staff as a hub while on location, needed a collaborative communication system as well.
While the trailers provided a challenge, Advanced was able to work with the unique facilities and install SMART Board interactive whiteboards on motorized wall stands. The SMART Boards allowed onsite staff to edit and comment on project drawings and schematics, then relaying the information back to the head office in an immediate manner, reducing turnaround time on changes and other communications. The insight trailers also included a conference system which allowed staff to collaborate effectively and support WorleyParsons’ unique and complex distributed team environment.
