ADVANCED HELPS FOSTER IMPROVED COLLABORATION AND INTERACTION AT TRENT UNIVERSITY WITH INNOVATIVE AV LEARNING SOLUTIONS
ABOUT TRENT UNIVERSITY
Since opening its doors in 1964, Trent University has distinguished itself among Canadian universities by putting students first and striking a unique and critical balance between outstanding teaching practice and leading-edge research. Trent operates from 2 campuses located in Peterborough and Oshawa, Ontario. Classes are sized for optimal learning, collaboration and interaction with other students and professors across disciplines. Trent offers innovative degree programs and unique, award-winning research opportunities for students and faculty alike.
A University that boasts state-of-the-art learning and athletic facilities, Trent was looking for an experienced AV solutions provider to supply the most advanced audiovisual equipment and educational software and hardware available to their 2 campuses. The University needed a reliable partner who would design the system, deliver all equipment and complete the massive installation to a strict timeline.
THE ADVANCED SOLUTION
As an AV partner with Trent since 2006, the University did not hesitate to turn to us once again for the required educational technology solutions. Advanced worked with University staff to determine the right collaborative solutions for specific rooms and meeting areas across both campuses. Once the solutions and equipment were established, Advanced installed document cameras, projectors, projector screens, Crestron room automation and control solutions, AV accessories, SMART interactive whiteboard systems and audio reinforcement solutions.
Advanced also provided professional development training on SMARTBoards and related audiovisual equipment to ensure professors and lecturers maintained ongoing success and utilized the equipment to fullest advantage. The audiovisual solutions provided to Trent by Advanced offer students a unique and enhanced method of learning and information sharing, engaging them fully through increased collaboration and interaction.
