ABOUT SHAW COMMUNICATIONS

In 1966, Shaw Communications Inc. was incorporated under the name Capital Cable Television. Only five years later, in 1971 and under the leadership of J.R. Shaw, the company made its first cable connection in Sherwood Park, Alberta.  Since these early days as a cable company, Shaw’s network and the number of products and services they offer to customers has continued to expand. Today, Shaw has grown well beyond its beginning in Sherwood Park to be a leading communications provider in Canada.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Shaw required an AV partner with current and strong retail experience and expertise to install an innovative visual display solution in their new store in Richmond, B.C. The provider needed to have extensive experience in the design and installation of dynamic digital signage, work closely with the Company’s retail design firm and be able to complete the installation at the retail location in B.C.

THE ADVANCED SOLUTION

Shaw turned to the digital signage experts at Advanced to design and install a unique, cutting-edge videowall within the new store. The solution included the latest display technologies by Orion and Samsung, offering a truly eye-catching, immersive shopping experience for customers.

The high-contrast, bright and seamless displays deliver visually-stunning images of Shaw’s impressive product and service portfolio and enable customers to interact with products in new and meaningful ways.

The digital display solution installed by Advanced helps to support onsite product and service specialists by ensuring the consumer is better informed about the products or services on which they want further information or training.  The solution has helped to better target the specialist’s time and provides a better level of assistance to shoppers.
