ABOUT THE MINISTRY OF CITIZEN AND IMMIGRATION
The Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration provides services for successful economic and cultural integration of newcomers to Ontario and promotes greater social inclusion, civic and community engagement and recognition among all Ontarians. Citizenship and Immigration supports and promotes equitable opportunity, responsible citizenship and voluntary action for the economic and social benefit of Ontario communities. The department welcomes all newcomers to the province and celebrates their diversity, values their volunteerism and strives always to improve the quality of life for all residents of the Province.
The Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration wanted to build a ceremony space to host the special occasion of newcomers to the province becoming Canadian citizens. The ceremony space needed to be bright, with a clear view to the podium and main screen from all angles to ensure maximum observance potential. An audio system was also required to make sure all new citizens and guests could hear and understand what was being said.
THE ADVANCED SOLUTION
To create a memorable moment for those obtaining their Canadian citizenship, Advanced worked with the Ministry to install a dual-projection system within the new ceremony space. Projection screens were installed in the main presentation area that could be easily seen throughout the room, ensuring participants could watch the ceremony from almost any vantage point. The screens display welcome messages and details of the ceremony prior to the event. During the ceremony, the name of each new citizen is displayed on the screen to recognize their commitment to Canada.
Advanced installed a customized podium that allowed users to control the AV systems easily, ensuring seamless presentations. An enhanced audio reinforcement system was also installed to guarantee that all new citizens, their families and guests could hear the oath of citizenship ceremony clearly.
