ABOUT FISHERIES AND OCEANS CANADA
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has the lead federal role in managing Canada’s fisheries and safeguarding its waters. DFO and its Special Operating Agency, the Canadian Coast Guard, deliver programs and services in support of sustainable use and development of Canada’s waterways and aquatic resources. They have played and continue to play, an important historic, economic and cultural role in the country’s development and growth as a nation.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada needed to upgrade their outdated audiovisual system. They were looking for an AV solutions partner who would recommend, supply and install the right equipment and innovative technology solutions to transform their Burlington training room into a state-of-the-art, immersive and collaborative training facility.
THE ADVANCED SOLUTION
Advanced provided a full audiovisual solution that would allow the DFO to conduct training sessions in a collaborative environment that was specifically designed to facilitate interactive learning. To enhance the training experience, Advanced installed an AV solution that included a ceiling-mounted projector with motorized screen. LCD displays to provide crisp, stunning images and an audio reinforcement system that ensured all participants of the training session could hear the presentation clearly and from anywhere in the room.
To bring the entire solution together and to provide a crisp, clean finish, Advanced installed Extron connectivity and AV accessories that concealed all installation hardware. A custom-designed lectern was also installed to allow trainers to manually control the AV equipment during their presentations. The new clean-looking, highly-advanced training room now provides an engaging and effective teaching environment for Fisheries and Oceans Canada to develop and train new and existing staff.
