ADVANCED PROVIDES NATION-WIDE AUDIOVISUAL INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS TO INDUSTRIAL SAFETY GIANT ACKLANDS GRAINGER

ABOUT ACKLANDS GRAINGER

Founded in Winnipeg by Dudley Ackland in 1889, Acklands was a pioneer in the manufacture and supply of wooden goods for various end uses. In 1996, Acklands was purchased by Grainger, a publicly-traded company and the largest industrial distributor in North America with annual sales approaching $6 billion. Acklands-Grainger has grown to become Canada’s largest distributor of industrial, fleet and safety products. Its parent company, Grainger, is the industry leader in industrial distribution in the U.S. With headquarters in Richmond Hill, Ontario, 155 branches across Canada, 5 distribution centres and more than 2,000 employees, Acklands Grainger continues to secure its leadership position serving a base of more than 65,000 active customers.

THE ADVANCED SOLUTION

Advanced Inc. has partnered with Acklands Grainger many times over the years to provide complete audiovisual collaboration solutions for boardrooms, meeting rooms and training rooms across the country. Some of the projects have included the design of an IT demonstration room featuring 3 Hitachi 55” plasma displays with digital signage software, as well as multiple large videoconferencing installations in Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Richmond Hill, Ontario.

When Acklands Grainger outgrew their existing facility and moved into the new Richmond Hill location, the experts at Advanced assisted with the de-installation of audiovisual equipment and the re-installation within the new location. Included in the re-design was a new President’s Boardroom for which Advanced provided the most up-to-date AV solutions to ensure staff could seamlessly connect with each other and customers on a new level.
