ABOUT STATE BANK OF INDIA (CANADA)
State Bank of India is the country’s largest bank and has been in operation for more than 200 years. In 1982, State Back of India (Canada) (“SBIC”) was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the bank. SBIC renders yeoman service in Ontario and British Columbia through seven branches: four within Ontario and located in Toronto, Mississauga, Scarborough, and Brampton and three within British Columbia and located in Vancouver, Surrey and Abbotsford. SBIC’s employees are often multilingual and well-versed with banking rules and regulations helping them to provide excellent service.
SBIC was opening a new branch in Toronto and wanted an effective way to provide relevant financial and banking information to patrons. The Bank needed a high-tech, sophisticated display solution to keep customers informed and entertained while waiting in queue to speak to a banking representative.
THE ADVANCED SOLUTION
The Bank contacted the AV experts at Advanced to create a videowall to provide a stylish and effective means of displaying information and messaging to the bank’s customers. Advanced designed and installed a 2 x 3 Orion videowall behind the teller stations that would effectively grab the attention of those waiting in line.
The innovative and dynamic videowall was split into 3 screens to allow 3 unique streams of information to be displayed simultaneously. The videowall solution provided live cable news, stock tickers and general bank information via an upscale, sophisticated display ideal for SBIC’s needs.
